Content Comments

This is an excellent short article describing the fundamentals of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). The purposes are nicely stated in both the title and the opening paragraph. Although the article does not cover NAEP in detail, it does provide a useful summary for anyone not familiar with this important national assessment. The content of the article is well-organized and succinct. The author does a great job of situating NAEP into the appropriate context of state assessments, many of which have been criticized for the amount of classroom time that they require to administer and score.
