Although it might be easy to dismiss the content of this one-page document for its brevity and simplicity, users are likely to find that those two attributes combine to make this publication worth a look. The Montana Office of Public Instruction has successfully identified the key components and processes necessary for the implementation of state standards regardless of whether they are Common Core or not. One could easily argue that some steps might be missing in this publication including terms such as feedback and professional development or that some sentences are unnecessarily long, but potential users ranging from school district administrators to teachers, might well find that this is just what the right tool for developing or tweaking their own standards implementation process.
