New York Common Core Toolkit
In January 2011, the New York State Board of Regents adopted the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS), which include the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and a small amount of additional standards uniquely added by New York State. The New York Common Core Toolkit provides a broad number of tools in order to help schools and teachers adapt to the new standards and forthcoming assessments including: New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS); Getting Started with the Common Core; Common Core Shifts and Common Core Video Series; Resources to Guide Common Core Implementation in the Classroom Implementation Guidance Workbook; and NYS Curriculum Modules for both Math and ELA.
The New York Common Core Toolkit provides a central location to download a wide range of resources for educators who are becoming familiar with the Common Core and those who have more experience. The selection of materials is of good quality and with supporting descriptions. Nice quality on the writing, but due to its vastness may be overwhelming to peruse. It may be useful to have guided support when going through the resources. Extensive collection of resources with links to other useful resources. Impact or generalizability are not indicated specifically.
