Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Accountability, State Plans, and Data Reporting
The U.S. Department of Education has written regulations to provide clarity and support to state education agencies (SEA) and local education agencies (LEA) with regards to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Included in this document are regulations for establishing requirements for: accountability systems, state and LEA report cards, and consolidated state plans.
This document will be published in the Federal Register on May 31, 2016 for public review, which can be viewed here. Comments may be submitted for 60 days after the regulations have been published.
