Classroom Resources: Lesson Plans
This website includes hundreds of standards-based lesson plans written and reviewed by educators using current research and “best” instructional practices. While the lessons may vary in quality, the reviews are a helpful place to begin looking. The site also has a tool called Student Interactive, which is an online resource for students to record their work. It offers a variety of layouts and template customization options for students to use for different projects.
The lesson plans on this site are organized by “featured” and “most popular.” Additionally, teachers can query for lessons based on grade level, learning objective (e.g., comprehension, critical thinking, collaboration), and other features. The layout of the website makes the lesson information easily accessible and understandable. Information is housed under the tabs: Preview, Standards, Resources & Preparation, Instructional Plan, Related Resources, and Comments. The lessons are also aligned with NCTE/IRA National Standards and with most State standards.
