This series of units on how to initiate and sustain productive, professional learning experiences and communities of practice is clear and detailed. The different units address various aspects of the process of developing and improving professional learning communities. The overview document provides guidance on which unit might be the most appropriate to start with for a particular school’s situation. These units can be very helpful in implementing and deepening instructional practice in relation to the CCSS. They can also be very helpful in situations where there is resistance to the CCSS and using a collaborative professional approach to change.
