The Art of Science Learning
The Art of Science Learning is a National Science Foundation-funded initiative that uses the arts to spark creativity in science education and the development of an innovative 21st Century STEM workforce. The initiative is built on more than 15 years of work by Harvey Seifter, Principal Director and Investigator, and colleagues who have explored the impact of artistic skills, processes, and experiences on learning and the innovation process. This website provides information on what STEAM is, work from the organization, projects, and resources.
This website provides some general information on the importance of a STEAM education and the initiatives that this organization is supporting. A 14 minute presentation by Harvey Seifter is helpful in understanding the STEAM movement. Also useful to educators interested in STEAM are the articles and essays found in the Resources section of the website.
