WIDA Consortium Website on English Language Development (ELD) Standards
This website is a resource for the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) Consortium’s English Language Development (ELD) Standards. The WIDA ELD Standards are designed as a curriculum and instruction planning tool to assist educators in determining English language learner (ELL) students’ ELD levels and in challenging students to achieve higher levels. The WIDA ELD Standards cover: Social and Instructional language, the language of Language Arts, the language of Mathematics, the language of Science, and the language of Social Studies, for pre kindergarten through grade 12.
